ACTIVITIES

The Youth Department of Full Gospel Mission Cameroon is dedicated to engaging and empowering young people through a variety of activities. These activities include Youth Camps, Youth Rallies, Youth Seminars, Youth Meetings in Churches, Youth Expression Days, Youth Weeks, Picnics and Outings, Sporting Activities, and Special Events.

Youth Camps are designed to provide young people with opportunities for spiritual growth, fellowship, and fun activities. These camps offer teaching, worship, prayer, and the chance to build lasting relationships. While the organisation of regional youth camps is regular practice, the first historic national youth camp was held in Bamenda in the North West region of Cameroon in July 2013, attended by thousands of youths.

Youth Rallies bring together young people from different local assemblies within the districts. These rallies feature dynamic speakers, worship sessions, and impactful messages to inspire and challenge the youth in their faith journey.

Youth Seminars focus on relevant topics for young people, equipping them with practical tools and biblical knowledge to navigate challenges and make wise decisions.

Youth Meetings in Churches provide a supportive and nurturing environment for young believers to grow in their faith. These gatherings include worship, studying the Word of God, and sharing practical experiences.

Youth Weeks are dedicated weeks throughout the year during which young people take an active role in leading worship services, preaching, and organizing outreach activities. These weeks serve as a platform for young leaders to exercise their gifts and serve the church.

The youth ministry also arranges Picnics and Outings to foster bonds among young people. These events provide opportunities for relaxation, team-building, and fellowship outside the church setting.

To promote physical fitness and teamwork, the ministry organizes Sporting Activities such as tournaments, games, and sports festivals.

Furthermore, the ministry actively engages in organizing Special Events in churches, neighbourhoods, and schools to reach out to young people with the message of the Gospel. These events may include short-term youth missions, evangelistic campaigns, youth conferences, school outreaches, and community service initiatives.

To showcase the involvement and enthusiasm of the youth, the ministry shares testimonies and images capturing the vibrant and dynamic nature of these activities on their media platforms, which highlight the impact of the ministry in the lives of young people and serve as an encouragement for others to get involved.

ACTIVITIES PLANNING

The Full Gospel Youth Ministry of Mission Cameroon is dedicated to providing a well-rounded program for young people that fosters spiritual growth, fellowship, outreach, and personal development. In order to achieve this, the ministry has established a comprehensive planning process that involves careful consideration of the needs of young people, setting clear objectives, securing necessary resources, and collaboration with local assemblies. The ministry’s dedication to excellence and the active participation of young people in the planning process ensures the continuous improvement of the program and the achievement of its goals.

The planning process begins with an assessment of the needs of young people in the community. This includes identifying the areas where they need support and guidance, as well as their interests and passions. Based on this assessment, the ministry sets clear objectives for each activity. These objectives may include spiritual growth, evangelism, discipleship, community impact, or talent development.

Once the objectives are set, the ministry determines suitable dates and locations for each activity. Factors such as availability of venues, school holidays, and local church calendars are taken into consideration. The ministry also secures the necessary resources, including finances, manpower, equipment, and materials, to support the activities. Fundraising efforts may be organized to ensure adequate funding for larger-scale events.

The ministry forms committees to oversee the planning and execution of specific activities. Each committee is responsible for different aspects, such as logistics, program content, publicity, and participant registration. Collaboration with local assemblies plays a crucial role in the success of these activities. Working closely with local assemblies allows for shared resources, expertise, and participation from local church leaders.

After each activity, an evaluation is conducted to assess its success and impact. Feedback from participants, leaders, and stakeholders is gathered to make improvements for future activities. This allows the ministry to continuously improve the planning process and ensure that the activities align with the overall vision and goals of the youth department.
